The Nampan Market was such an awesome place to wander around. It had everything and was set up mainly for the local people to buy and sell Fruits and vegetables, house hold goods, chickens, cows and other livestock. There are a couple of rows right in the front selling touristy souvenirs too. When we arrived we just walked past the souvenir hawkers who were all very cordial asking us to look at their "store".
- Pros:Awesome market!

Fascinating insight. Evocative pics.
Another great page. Don't you just love looking around these kind of markets?
A brillian, brilliant page. I want to go there right NOW! You're a traveller after my own heart: I'm forever making up the content of dialogues when I can't understand them :-) Am off to find those floating gardens!
A very nice page on your close-up look at life in Burma! Definitely a totally different way of life to ours!
there are still so many places in this world that are almost unspoilt by mass tourism; seems you found such a place here; great pictures, also in the travelogues; you "only" lost 2lbs - you are kidding, I always gain several kilos in Asia!
Another very interesting page.I liked sp. all those markets scenes, great page and amazing photos!!!!!!!
Nice Page Scotty :-) Lots of unkown places where we can at least visit through your pages :-D
Great impressions from the market! Love the colors, the stories, the people! Fantastic!
Nampam looks like the place to load up on sackfuls of cheroots, dried fish and garlic-- and bring it all back through US customs a la Monty Python. Great page Scott.
Wonderful market, beautiful scenes. Now I understand why you made hundreds of photo's a day!
