Chichen Itza is a great stop (not the best, in my opinion) for seeing Mayan Ruins. You won't be disappointed here, but be prepared to deal with the tourists and heat.

Wonderful travelogue and pictures. Chitzen Itza is great. We arrived there in the late afternoon with a funny hired beetle.
