Oaxaca and Monte Alban

by shdw100 - last update: Jun 18, 2003

Valley of Oaxaca
If you plan a visit to Mexico, Oaxaca should be on your list. A pleasant town that sits up in the highland of Mexico with a great climate. Monte Alban ruins are close by, as well as many arts and crafts items by the indigenous people that you can buy. There are also some nearby attractions such as El Tule and Hierve el Agua which are cool to explore. You can get a good feel of how Mexico is by visiting Oaxaca

Sounds like an exciting bus journey! Your photo of the woman carrying the bundle on her head (night shot) looks kind of like a painting. Interesting.

Monte Alban looks very interesting. But that bus ride!! Sounds similar to one I took from Como to Bellagio, Italy, where it took a good hour for my stomach to calm down! BTW, congratulations on beautiful #4!
