  • Antigua, Veracruz, is the little town where Cortez first landed. The little town is just north of Veracruz and has the remnants of Cortez first house as well as the little chapel that he built when he first arrived. There is also a small complany that runs boats you can hire and they will take you to where Cortez first came in and where his ships landed (supposedly?)

  • This is the remnants of the first home built by Cortez when he arrived in the new world. He actually lived here for about 1 year before making his trek into the interior of Mexico and eventually defeating the Aztecs.

Corruption sucks...I usually don't give in to it...I would rather see the person offer a real service or product....Wonderful page ...The area sounds so beautiful!!

Thats a good warning about the bribes... probably a bit intimidating at first. Sounds like they take pride in their city. The beaches definitely sound wonderful.
