I have been to Washington DC a few times, and the city has always facinated me. I love walking around and seeing the different monuments to the great people of my country. The museums are excellent and the food is great! Best of all, most of it is free!!!
- Pros:Most everything is free
- Cons:The other things (hotels, transportation) is expensive

good tips, I loved it there with all the museums.
Sadly a lot of the government buildings are not as easy to visit since September 11, but all of the museums are still open and most are still free.
I'd love to see the Lincoln Memorial.
