I am proud to say that pickpockets ARE NOT Italians!!! Don't have a bad impression about Italians if you loose your wallet, because they are all from other countries. They are all illegal immigrants who can't do anything else but ripping people off. Italy is the numper one coutry in Europe for illegal immigrants, and it's hard to stop them as they cam from the sea often swimming. There are NOT Italians that beg for money, I haven't seen one in my whole life! Italians are warm people that will not steal from you. Do be very carefull to these people who now can afford new clothes, and therefore very hard to spot. They operate mainly on busses. Remember that 95% of the times people that loose something, loose it because a majour lack in common sense. Have a good trip.
