    Getting TO/AROUND: Hire a private tour guide which includes a driver. During the summer months, this is a luxery as the car is air-conditioned and you don't have to deal with the lawless traffic. We were surely pampered tourist.

    I suggest contacting the office first to see whether Nguyen still works there. She spoke impeccable English and was very open-minded and upfront about the locals and Vietnam in general. Again, it was part of our packaged-tour so I'm not sure how much it cost but I don't think it can be that much.
