my dad was teaching at GSU (Georgia state university ) at 2004 so i visited him for a 2 weeks vacation.
i visited the coca cola museum, stone mountain, martin Luther king center and some nature outside of Atlanta (2 hours drive)
i went shopping and tried a lot of restaurants there...:-)

- Pros:nice city, some nice hikes nearby
- Cons:hot in summer, not the best place to visit when u get to usa
- In a nutshell:if u must be there - there are nice stuff there to enjoy

a really nice park there r few hikes there - 2 of them take u right under the falls....really nice view and the other... more travel advice

Stone Mountain is impressive, and you showed it nicely in the pictures. I totally agree about Underground as being a trashy place not to go to.
My daughter goes to college in Atlanta so I get to visit here several times each year. Great city.
