Iwate-ken is my parents home, Mizusawa is my mother's hometown and I met for the first time my relatives from her side on january of 2002. Kind of strange if you think I've born in Argentina and lived there 26 years without meeting them.
This city is small and it's growing up, looks very modern but still keeps the japanese tradition. You can still find the traditional Japan here, country side is quieter and relaxing.

Hi I do not know Mizusawa. Nice photos. You must have been very happy to see your mother's hometown.

Nice graphis representation of Japan in the transportation tip. I havn´t seen that before. The Skinkansen was very punctual as I recall!
