At daytime it is just a busy street here, part of the city center, but at night it changes to one of the famoust party miles of the world, a mixture of red light district and a lot of old tradiotional harbour pubs and several newer bistros and pubs and as well several discos.

One of the central places on the "Kiez" with various bars and pubs around. Several possibilities to sit outside. Different music from everywhere, on friday and saturday night always totally crowded, mostly with "tourist"-party people, but the locals are as well mixed up with them.

One of various really old bars on the Kiez in the Reeperbahn quarter. A good place to have a cold blond one (beer) in the evening and to meet new people every day. I´m not absolutely sure, but I think Erna (the place is called: Zum Silbersack (bei Erna) is still working there, already an old lady.

Die grosse Freiheit is as the Reeperbahn surely one of the most famous streets of Hamburg. Several night clubs are placed here, as well a church at the end of the street. One famous spot is e.g the Dollhouse, a table dance club, prefered from these thousands of bachelor parties (stag nights) that are strolling around in Hamburg every weekend at least.
