Death of 3 complete roman legions (each about 6000 soldats) + help troups

no inforamtion about the number of dead soldats of the german tribes

at all about 1000 to 20000 dead people in this battle.

just finished reading Adrian Murdoch's Rome's Greatest Defeat (published 2006) about the battle and the events leading up to it. It is a great addition to the stories on your page.

In August I visited the Varusslacht. A very exciting place! Many compliments to Major Clunn whose exceptional professional dedication contributed to make the museum exist. I would appreciate to exchange with him some thoughts about the event.

Großartige Seite über die Varusschlacht in Kalkriese.... Ist ein faszinierender Ort, nicht wahr? Man wuerde am liebsten eine Schaufel in die Hand nehmen nach einem Besuch
