you ever heard of the designer Rudolph Moshammer, called Mosi? ....strolling around Munich city I suddenly passed by the store of this special guy who has been always seen with his little dog Daisy....well, he was a famous german designer of clothes. I am talking about the past, because he was murdered in the beginning of 2005. This was a big story for the yellow press, it is still not sure what were the reasons for this murder. I must admit that I never knew much about Rudolf Moshammer but heard a lot about him after his death. He was a unique person, a famous disigner who also did a lot for the poor people in his homecity Munich. I think a part of his heritage will be for the help of homeless people, another part is for his Yorkshire Daisy. ..on the photo you see some ties with his portrait in the window of his store......I have really no idea who would use a tie with his face on it.....;-D...
Crown prince Ludwig, the later King Ludwig I had the idea for a memorial monument to the antique Greece: the Königsplatz (king´s plaza). The architect Leo von Klenze created a plaza in the style of an antique Forum with the Gyptothek on the northside of it.
You find here a collection of antique sculptures and vases.

During the "Third Reich" the National Socialist used the monumental square for reunions and deployments.

the building created in the style of an antique temple was built on the south side of the king´s plaza by Goerg Friedrich Ziebland (1800 - 1873). Main part of the collection are greek vases, collected by king Ludwig I. Besides you find here collections of bronce, glass and terracota and many more antique art.
A antique greek Forum shall be created in front of the gates of Munich, that was the idea of crown prince Ludwig, later King Ludwig I. The architect Leo von Klenze created this place, the Königsplatz (king´s plaza) and constructed the glyptothek on the north side of it.
This museum offers a collection of antique sculptures and vases for the visitor.
near the townhall you find a sign at the wall of a building explaining that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived once for a while in this building and finished next to some otehr masterpieces the opera seria "Domeneo Re Di Creta" for the Carnaval 1781 in Munich.
