Beginning with some basic information, Greece is one of the members of the EU, sharing the same coin, and is one of the borders of Europe. It neighbours with Turkey, another applicant for memebership in the European complex. It's population rises up to 12 million people, mostly situated in Athens, the capital. The other huge cities are Thesaloniki (situated North) and Patres (in Peloponess, south).
The basic characteristic of Greece is the countless islands both to the east and to the west of the mainland. They are the main pole of attraction to thousands of tourists visiting each year. Due to it's archeological interest, culture, and of course endless beaches and relatively cheap entertainment, Greece attracts all sorts of modern tourism.
It can combinate sea, sun, mountain, all in a perfect harmony and sometimes in the same landscape. The following pictures can prove it.
