Nightlife Spot: Various Bars
If you want a walk on Rome's wild side, all you need to do is sign up for the pub crawl. Any of the major Rome hostels have tickets for the "festivities." It includes a short walking tour of a few of Rome's attractions, a guide/host, entrance into 4 bars, each with a free shot and reduced price drinks. All in all, it is a great way to meet young people from all over the world, and basically to drink. Can be fun, especially if its your birthday!

Dress Code: Normally, I blow by this bit, but it IS Italy. Without a doubt you can dress up for the occasion and still feel scrubby compared to the locals, or you can dress like all the other tourists and at least be comfortable while the locals laugh at you. Your choice.

Nightlife Spot: Nag's Head
This was one of the bars that I went to on my pub crawl. This one I actually remember, whihc says alot. It has a small dance area, I guess the norm in Roma, and has great drinks served by good looking people. It has only a few places to sit, but with all the dancing goingon, you pretty much suck if you are sitting. I will say that I learned a valuable Italian slang saying about how I became later on that night. The saying is either: "Andiamo Ensieme" or more appropriately, "Vado Ensieme". When you are drunk, you are like two different people. The one who got drowned under all the liquor a long time ago and the one that everyone is laughing at at this moment. When you are drunk and you pass out, my Italian friends say "I go together", or "We go together" if everyone in the whole group is drunk. I am pretty sure that I misspelled those, but I was taught very well how to say them!

Nightlife Spot: Radio Londra Caffe
This place is one of those "slash" places. Part restaurant / bar / pub / club. Whatever you want to call it, it is a good time. This place was jam packed with a bunch of crazy Italians and tourists. Thats what my guidebook said, thats what it was. They have drink specials late into the night, which I found other clubs did not do. The snack food was not worrth writing home about. Give it a pass by eating before you go out. Also, they will try and make you buy a "membership" pass for the year, for 5 Euro. If you aren't too big of a group, I am sure that you will be able to talk your way out of it like we did. It is located in Trastevere, so its a bit of a hike out, but worth it in the end. 9pm-3am Sun, Mon; Wed-Fri; 9pm-4am Sat; closed Tue
