Nightlife Spot: Monkey Beach Bar

The most fun I had in Thailand was at the monkey beach bar. Yes, I went to the Full Moon Party on Ko Phan Ngan. I guess it was the poepl I was partying with that made it so special. We had an absolute crazy time at the 3/4 full moon party.

You will quickly find out that the original FMP's have spawned partys at all phases of the lunar cycle.

Regardless, the Monkey Bar is awesome, because it is set off from the main tourist area, actually on the other side of the island, and its at the end of the beach. They set out mats on the sand, and out tables and chairs on some of those. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and drink a few. After we did that, the real party started, flush with fire twirlers and "International DJ's". I think that just meant that they came from Malaysia for the night. But, whatever, it was awesome!

Nightlife Spot: Carlitos

As much as you can claim that there is a true nightclub on Phi Phi Don, I would say that Carlitos is the best of the bunch. It is an open-air bar with a pretty good size dance floor, that has every type of dance music you could want: Hip-hop, trance, house, etc. The drinks are fairly strong here, so it is a good place to start off the night.
