No Leonardo or Virginie, But Still Worth The Trip! Ko Phi Phi, is actually two islands: Ko Phi Phi Li and Ko Phi Phi Don.
Ko Phi Phi Li is a national park that has no accomodation, and it is illegal to spend the night on. Ko Phi Phi Don is the exact opposite, with a plethora of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses to satisfy every budgets needs. Don attracks those who are searching for scuba diving and other adventure sports, but the biggest draw is due to the movie "The Beach". It starred Leo DiCaprio and Virginie Ledoyen, and was filmed on location on Phi Phi Li. |
