When the summer is ending and the fall is starting, one of the Estonian traditions is mushroom-picking. Many families head out to the forests over the weekends to try their luck. Some people have established their so-called *great mushroom spots* and head back to the same place every year.

On the picture you can see one of the most delicious mushrooms to be found - edible boletus. There are different types of boletus and you must know the mushrooms well enough not to pick up something poisonous. One can make a fresh and absolutely delicious gravy from boletus, but they are often also dried up and used as supplements during the winter. Nothing can be better than making a fresh soup and adding some of your dried mushrooms to it!!

Lighthouses and mushrooms are both very interesting to see on your page here!!! How do you tell they are the non-poisonous variety when picking the mushrooms?!!!
