We stayed two day there and, although it is not a fancy hotel and some minutes walk away from the strip, we were very satisfied. The rooms are clean and reasonably equipped. The pool area was nice and we were nearly the only users of it - because the rest of the visitors seemed to be fond of getting rid of their money at the slot-machines. We asked at the Las Vegas visitor center for hotel recommendations and they gave us a coupon for this hotel. This entiteled us to have a second night for free if we booked the first night for 39 $ the room.
Unique Qualities: They serve a really good breakfast buffet where you find all kind of food.

The Mirage hotels theme is the jungle because its main attraction is the show with Siegfried and Roy and their white tigers. At the moment the show is canceled due to an accident on stage, but you can watch the tigers in a luxury cage. Inside the huge hall you find jungle atmosphere with palm trees, waterfalls and rattan-style cafeterias.
Unique Qualities: In a huge pool in front of the hotel there's a volcano which erupts several times per hour every night.

The main attraction of this hotel is the Stratosphere Tower. With its height of 1.149 feet it is the tallest freestandig observation tower of the United States. From its observation deck you have a wonderful view on the whole city as well as the surrounding valley. On top of the observation deck there is a roller coaster which is said to be the tallest of the world. What a thrill on this height!

This hotel is well known for it performance of a battle between a ship of sirens and a ship of pirates. This spectacular event is performed several times per night and the spectators stand in between the two ships. So you are right in the middle of the action. During the battle a canon-ball causes a fire and hot flames. For this reason the performance cannot take place if the wind is too strong.

This hotels theme is the famous italian city of Venice. There are replicas of several sites of Venice like the Rialto Bridge, the Campanile, a small version of the Piazza San Marco and so on.
Unique Qualities: On the 1st floor of the hotel you find a replica of the Canale Grande on which you can have a trip with a gondola. The sky above is artificial and changes like a real sky during a summerday.
