San Francisco Travel Guide: 10,931 reviews and 18,554 photos
This city is really gifted by its gorgeous location. Sitting on steep hills on the tip of a peninsula surrounded py the Pacific Ocean, the Bay and the Golden Gate waterway it is no wonder that this city is the dream of so many travellers and a perfect location for film directors as well.
Because of the mild climate it is also a nice place to live although it can be a bit foggy sometimes. This picture is taken at the Golden Gate Waterfront near the Bridge. There are a lot of nice houses like this.
San Francisco's citizens are well known for an openminded spirit - so if I had to choose a place to live in the US I would go for San Francisco.
There are also a lot of possibilities for recreational activities - in particular watersport. And if you dont have the financial means to sail on such a boat ... it's also fun to watch them while sunbathing on the beach or having a picnic near the Golden Gate Bridge.
- Pros:Ask yourself - why do film directors love this town?
- Cons:Sometimes the climate can be a bit foggy

Bernd, how is life in Egg-Leo these days? Nice little page here; I would love to use the famous cable cars one day ...the Golden Gate Bridge looks very similar to the Ponte 25 de Abril in Lisbon.

Excellent pgs on my chosen hometown of SF. I esp. like your photos of Fisherman's Wharf & of GG Park. I'm glad you would choose to live here if you moved to the US. That's quite a compliment.
SF is one of the few US cities on my list ...its really beuatiful - place and people ...and I love the National Parks in US ....cool page
Nice photos and descriptions. I used to live across the bay in Berkeley (a long time ago).
San Francisco is also one of my fave US cities (my other top 5's are Chicago, N.Y. Boston & Seattle). Gr8 tips. We also stayed in that same hotel on one of our visits here.
