I couldn´t express it better with my words than these lines of the instant-guide of Inyourpocket. Its exactly what I felt when I visited Tallinn. I didn´t expect such a modern boom town! A lot of construction work and renovation is going on. There are cars everywhere and of course plenty of tourist!
During my first two days I was more impressed by the masses of visitors than by the amazing sights. Even during the peak season in Prague or Budapest I have not seen such crowds like here!!! Unfortunately there were three cruise ships visiting the city at the same time and thousands of extra visitors were streaming through Old Town. Nevertheless I enjoyed Tallinn very much and I didn´t regret that I made the 2000 kms motorbike trip only to experience the "White Nights" and see “that charming medieval city” | | | Queuing up to get into Aleksander Nevski Cathedral |
