Salima is about 20 kilometers off the lake. It’s nothing special to see or to do here, its a small pleasant town with some nice alleys, some supermarkets, banks and filling stations. You will pass through Salima on your way to Senga Bay. Once you get rid of the touts at the busstation, who offer transport to Senga Bay, you will realize that nobody will bother you. There is no begging or “Azungu” yelling kids!
There are some good shopping facilities, a post office and a Stanbik Bank with an out side ATM and Western Union service. |
