Addis Ababa is another capital but nothing special to me. It’s a young city (1887) and is looking more like transit point than a place that needs to be explored. The city`s landmarks can easily be seen within a one day walking tour. Did you ever ask yourself why most known pictures of Addis show the lion in front of the railway station? There will be a reason for that! But this doe not means that Addis Ababa is a bad or boring place!
There are many restaurants serving all different kind of food, shops, bars, and cafes etc. Probably its one of the best places for shopping souvenirs!
The quarter known as the
Piazza is a very lively area with lots of hotels, restaurants, shops and bars.
