Mexico City is the world's largest, but somehow has remained a secret. Those who haven't been there but have 'heard' about it, will often have the false impressions that it is a haven for criminals, is polluted to uninhabitable levels, is unfriendly, or that it has a terrible traffic problem. |
|  | Okay, so the city does have a bad traffic problem, bu the other issues are truly blown out of proportion.
What Mexico City, or Mexico D.F. (Distrito Federal), as it is referred to in Latin America, is, is a beautiful and thriving cultural center and a city so full of life you will immediately fall in love with its craziness. |
There are truly few cities that rival Mexico City's in regards to culture, architecture, museums, parks, restaurants, clubs, sports...the list goes on.
If you happen to be passing through on a vacation, I truly recommend you spend some time exploring this city rather than rushing through the airport to avoid it. | | |
