Asuncion is the capital city of Paraguay in the heart of South America. It is located on the banks of the Rio Paraguay which borders Argentina. |
|  | Asuncion is quite an old city with many beautiful buildings in need of restoration. My first visit to this city was in March of 2002 for 3 weeks. I returned the next year to participate in an internship and lived there for nearly 5 months. In the space of that year I noticed a lot of improvements in the city center. However it definately has an older feel to it. This picture was taken from the balcony of my appartment when I lived there and is downtown Asuncion. |
