Cusco is the former head of the Inca empire and the longest inhabited city in all of South America. Now a days it is a tourist mecca as the jumping off point to Machu Picchu. The city itself is stunning with a town square that would rival any city on the continent. Ancient Inca walls line some streets and there are many Inca sites to explore within walking distance of the city
- Pros:Historical city, many Inca sites nearby, the jump off point for Machu Picchu
- Cons:get ready to be hounded for you tourist dollars!
- In a nutshell:A very touristy city......but at the same time a worth while visit
