"Robinson Crusoe Island" Isla Róbinson Crusoe by tenorsax

You will probably have read Daniel Defoe's famous novel called "Robinson Crusoe".

Well, this novel was based on the true story of Alexander Selkirk who was put ashore on this island three hundred miles west of South America, where he spent four years learning to survive with little more than his bare hands.

Many stories about pirates are also part of the fascinating history of this place.

Worth visiting. I would recommend staying no less than 10 days at the island.
