people that deny my identity are by far the worst people exsist. they say that i'm not sepouse to live in the place i was born. then they start to talk about the wonders of their country as to say-"my country is great and it has all those wonderfull things but you- you don't have a country, a legitinmate place on the face of the earth to live in"
I live in the western part of the Galilly, born and raised. it's my home. The Galilly I live in is a less known part since it's In the opposite side to the Sea Of Galilly and the Jordan River. But make no mistake it is non the less home to some wonders- from wild animals to endemic forests, rivers and historical medieval fortress.
I want to show you a medieval fortress 5 minutes from my home.
The monfort fortress is a 12th century fortress built by the DE MILLY family- a French aristocrat family. The fortress was at the beginning an agricultural farm, that was formed in the 7th century in the Byzantine era. in the 12th century it was part of 36 farms and villages in the DE MILLY family territory. The remnants shown is from when it become a fortress. The capital of their Galilly territory was Mailiyaa where they lived in the "King fortress" ("Chateau de ro" in French, "Castellum Regis" in Latin. the DE MILLY family had a marital connection to one joslin de Courtney, apparently with connection to the king of Jerusalem). the farm didn’t have a significant importance until In the 12th century when it became a fortress she receives the name- "the new king fortress". been that in this time the territory stopped been part of the king's territory it's been reduced to- "the new fortress".
The name "Montfort" is French for “strong mountain”. is shown in certificant from 1229 and descrived as a christian fortress by it's French owers, before been sold to a German knights order (which actually preserved the name in German- "Starkenberg).
It's very easy to get there. bacically wehn you leave the mediterranean sea road in "Rosh hanikra" and turn east. its about 15 minuets.
hay it's on your way to the the Sea of galilly and the jordan river.
