Pereira is well knowned as the Coffee Capital in Colombia.
During decades, coffee growing was the epicentre of the local economy. Nowadays, with the prices drop, the situation has changed, generating unemployment and social problems. But you can still enjoy sitted in a terrace the city's nice pleasant weather, having the best coffee in the world.
