The Fountain of Neptune is symmetrically opposite to the Fountain of the Moor. The basin of this fountain was by Giacomo della Porta (1576) and the statues of Neptune and the Nereids were from XIX century.

In 1575 Giacomo Della Porta designed a fountain to place in front of the Pantheon. Leonardo Sormani carried out the work composed of a multi-linear shell raised on three travertine steps, enriched by four groups of dolphins and masks with a central water basin with jets. In 1711, following the orders of Pope Clemente XI Albani, the architect Filippo Barignoni substituted the basin with a rock on which was placed the obelisk of Ramses II, six metres tall and decorated at the base by four dolphins carved by Luigi Amici.

The famous bronze statue of Marcus Aurelius (A.D. 80) is the only surviving example of the many equestrian statues that adorned Rome. It used to stand in the centre of the square until 1980, when was moved to the Capitoline Museum so that now you can find a perfect copy of it in the middle of the square.

This wonderful pipe organ dates back to the XVI century (1598). I'm sure its sound is fantastic, even if I never had the chance to listen to it :-(

The Pincio Terrace and Villa Borghese are two Must See Activities, but I suggest to take a look at the skyline from the terrace. Sometimes it could be foggy, but it's very impressive...
