"Acadia National Park" Acadia National Park by where2next

I visited Acadia in part to see the park and also to sea kayak. The park, although small, was very relaxing and afforded some scenic views. Actually, being that it is smaller than other National Parks was good as in one weekend it was possible to the highlights and also to hang out in Bar Harbor

Another thing about Acadia, is the drive to get there. Although the park is not huge like Yosemite, the coastal drive up from Boston to Acadia is great!

Here is a view from Sandy Beach. Upon seeing the sand I went back to the car and got into some shorts and brought a towel. I only went in knee deep given the waves and found the water was actually not that cold (this being early October).

Another view as I drove and then stopped along the designated "park drive" route.
