Wonderful damp and lake

The scenery is also great in summer when everything is green. In April when I last went the leaves didn't bloom yet. It's enchanting to see it even like this , with the forest bare naked.
What can I say, if you are in Bucharest, it's only 1,5h away by car and i's a great dsetination for the weekend.
Not many tourist attractions, just the fact this is the beginning of what we call "Transfagarasean", the road that crosses the Fagarasi mountains. It really is a great road trip and the Balea Lake which stays on the highest altitude of this road is an awesome view as well!

You must stop at the damp and climb the stairs (you can't see the tower I'm talking about in he pic) for a view over the lake!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great views and not so "touristy"
Cons:if you're looking for great roads and great accomodation, you are not likely to fnd it here
In a nutshell:Grear road trip, if you don't care about quite a few bumps and holes in the road!
