Don't eat in the Saint Michel area, in the cluster of pedestrian streets around rue de la Huchette. It is disgusting, dirty, overcrowded, and not so cheap. You can eat delicious French food and drink wine for very cheap in Paris. Also avoid crepe stands near Brasseries in touristy places. The crepes are greasy, made with bad quality ingredients. Yuck!!! Go to a proper crepe restaurant, with tables and chairs and everything. It is much much better, and not necessarly more expensive. Order cider with your crepes!

At Least Do This: If you feel like having a snack and it's 3 AM and you're drunk, it doesn't matter what you're eating anyway
Alternative: If you feel like having a snack and you're sober, go to a backery and order some pastry. Yumm!!

Actually, don't destroy the beautiful square, but inflict a very slow and painful death to all the so called artists who paint ugly paintings for tourists. Most of the time, they don't even paint, or just pretend to paint pre-painted paintings That's a lot of "paint" in a single phrase. For those who wonder what I am talking about, place du Tertre is a little square on top of montmartre where throngs of tourists buy ugly stuff to gangsters dressed as "French artists".

At Least Do This: If you don't kill them, at least torture them for a while.
Alternative: Oh please, you know better than that !
