Palm Springs is my favorite vacation spot. It seems to be a town that's totally about tourism. It has been the "playground of the rich and famous" since the 60's and earlier. As you fly into the airport, you realoze that Palm Springs is an oasis in the desert, a spot of lush green in a drab desert. Everyplace there is well kept, nicely groomed, and neat. Everyone is happy, I guess because everyone there is on vacation. Plenty of great places to eat, party, and stay. The Joshua Tree Nat'l Park is about 45 minute's drive north of town. There's also a tram that takes you up the mountain. We didn't get to ride it, too busy basking in the sun. This place is definitely a "must see"! |
