Here at Kuta Beach the sand is not pearly white but powdery enough for a comfortable picnic. Some areas can become quite crowded (like the one you see in this picture ) due to some beach activities mostly surfing competitions and display of surfing skills which attract crowds. Some local customs and rituals are sometimes held also along the shore.

While waiting for the sun to come out, I spotted this man standing alone contentedly by the sea while watching small but constant waves running towards the shore. Being away from the crowd, the gentle breeze coupled with the sound of the waves must be music to his ears.

Still here at Kuta Beach, my group came back late afternoon just to catch the sunset. The weather was not cooperative enough as dark clouds covered the sun and heavy rain was approaching… but the sun peeked in a little bit for me to capture her beauty!
