AMP Building / Centre Point: Over the top views of Sydney.
  • Tip Rating:

  • Upon meeting hailun at the steps of Sydney Town Hall on Saturday 26 July 2003, she immediately led me towards the AMP Tower also known as Sydney Tower. This was the start of my official tour days at the city. With a coupon on her hand which allowed us to buy tower tickets for A$22 for the price of 2, we first joined the flock of sightseers to the Skytour: The Great Australian Expedition, a virtual tour that depicts the expedition in magnificent laser beams. Then we feast our eyes with the panoramic view at the uppermost part of the tower. For those who felt tired and hungry afterwards, two revolving restaurants awaited them just a floor down from the observation deck.

The Sydney Tower is open from 9am-10.30pm daily. It is located at 100 Market Street.

    Darling Harbour: Sweet Darling Harbour
  • Tip Rating:

  • This is a complete great place to spend time with for at least one whole day. You can have your leisurely walk on its vast area, spend a quite moment at the Chinese Garden nearby, go shopping, dine&wine at ample bars and restaurants, visit specialized places like the Sydney Aquarium, IMAX Theater, Sydney's Convention and Exhibition centers, or simply sit in the park (especially the ones fronting the bay) and watch beautiful people around! I was lucky one night to be able to watch in amazement the International Boat Show showcasing only the best of man's best toy in the sea - Yachts!

Yeah, it's a sad reality that we guys from third world countries have to go through such troubles in visiting a country. This is, despite our openness and friendliness to foreigners. Talk about self-respect and reciprocity! Thanks, Drew.l
