I live in Glasgow and study in Aberdeen, and also have various friends all around Britain, so I have been to a fair few places here! I love Glasgow - it's great for shopping, and there's lots of great nightlife - it's quite a studenty city. Edinburgh is also nice, but for different reasons. So many tourists in Britain spend too much time visiting England, and seem to forget about Scotland, but I think there are so many places here that are well worth a visit - and not just the Highlands!! Of course there are parts of England (and probably Wales and Ireland too, though I couldn't comment as I've never been to either country) that shouldn't be missed - London is obviously an amazing city, which I love to visit (when i can find the time and money!), and although I've only spent a day there, Manchester seems pretty lively and interesting too.... Basically, travel as much as possible, and you're bound to find plenty that takes your fancy...!!
