I guess it's already my 2nd page about Slovenia -: this photo is my image-symbol of Slovenia. may be local ppl do not consider roses as favorite or evenanything special - I don't know. but somehow these beatifull flowers in combination with beautifull sky and beautifull mountains for me associated with this beautifull country. I was not even surprised to find such a scenary, practically expected to find it. because it seems to be so natural and obvious - like the very meaning of this land, which is eternal essense of beauty, calm sacred purity and self-confident mystical power of the great stunning mountains... |
|  | the little shrine This kind of small wooden image of Jesus Christ practically always with fresh flowers offered and even growing around is a very common site. I saw quite a few of them on the road to Bovec. seems like local people have sincere love to Jesus since they have such a simple and perhaps spontaneous expression of it in the form of these easly accesible little shrines beside the road. |
