Janwat Nan and City Nan

NOT so sleepy town

although many tour guide books like Lonely Planet might describe it as such - I don't think it is sleepy town. it is just different. as Nothern Thai people are different from others. they are more peacefull and easy going, and perhaps slower - true. but definetely not sleepy.

accordingly life flows at different pace here, which might give an impression of "sleepiness" for a visitor who's "seen scenes" - especially comparing to other places in popular for tourists Thailand's other destinations. but it is full of activities and life nevertheless.

and many foreigners who live in Thailand eventually prefer to move to Northern Thailand - expecially for this peacefullness.

I can say - even the air itself, far less polluted than in Bangkok (where I live last 3 years) or even neighbouring Chiang Mai.

my mom-in-law has a lovely fruit garden and river is nearby. I have realy had good rest during my almost a week visit, and can't wait till going again. my wife urges me to move there completely, which I guess eventually I'll do.

neither there is SOUND polution typical for other big cities. food is much cheaper and fresher.

lots of insects around - my latest hobby turning into passion. and that famous Doi Pukha National park to eplore - on my list for next visit.

yeah, and it is NOT SO HOT as in Bangkok. in fact now, during "winter" it can be pretty cold - at night almost 0 C degree !

I'll add later here. haven't loged in here quite for a while. will try to compensate my prolonged absence ! ;)
