Isn't Bassano del Grappa beautiful? Refreshingly free from tourists (despite the promise of grappa taste tests), it's a breath of fresh air if you've just come from Venice. |

| | A colourful gem Nestled next to the river Brenta, you'll be charmed by the antique shops, a beautiful bridge, an interesting history and friendly locals (the tourist office is lovely!). You can easily meander a day away in drunken splendour. Have a blueberry grappa... you know you want one... |
| | Not just the alcohol There are also some buildings (the Chiesa) and architecture. I think Bassano was struck during the war, judging by one of the monuments in town. |
