    • Quite affordable to NY standards, the Herald Square Hotel is also centrally located in midtown, blocks away from the Empire State Building. Friendly staff, clean comfortable basic rooms, and affordable. If you are on a budget and are looking for a basic room where the only time you spend in it anyway is when you are sleeping, this hotel is perfect.

    The single rooms go for $85 per night and the doubles for $120. Add to that the 13.5% taxes and $2 per night occupancy tax.
