"Santa Cruz on business " a Santa Cruz de Tenerife Travel Page by vanessadb

As a business trip tends to do, leave you with little or no free time, I was only able to enjoy a very specific aspect of Tenerife: the hotel and restaurants. I did learn quite a lot about the island and its inhabitants though, due to the many meetings with local stores and media.

I realize that Tenerife is known for its takey tourism but this luckily only really affects the south of the island, and I have to admit that I was pleasanlty surprised and really enjoyed what I saw and the places I went to.

The Canary Islands did remind me of Puerto Rico a lot and it is definitely extremely different there from the peninsule. Tenerife was in my opionion more beautiful than Gran Canarias for what I did see but I did hear that some of the other islands are absolutely splendid...

I will have the chance to go back very often, always on business, and look forward to it. Of course I will keep adding tips as I discover them and promise to add plenty of pictures =)
