A passion

I love to travel, just like the majority of the VT members. The more countries and cities I visit, the more I want to discover the places, people and cultures that form this lovely planet. Hopefully all the grey areas in my map will soon and little by little become blue, starting by the ones listed in my travel wish list!

Since a very early age

Lucky for me, I started traveling very young. Both my parents love to travel as well and took me with them almost everywhere. As a matter of fact, I remember missing lots of days in elementary school due to wonderful exotic trips. Wouldn't change that for anything in the world! =)

I guess the downfall to that though is that traveling has become a necessity. I get REALLY depressed if I don't travel several times a year....

New beginnings

After more than seven years living in the States, I have very much enjoyed living Madrid for two years. It's a must-visit city in Europe, too often forgotten or dismissed by travellers, which I recommend by all means. However, I moved to the North of Europe, Hannover Germany to be exact, (just in time for WM 2006!) and have been living here since early 2006. Hello culture shock! But hello Love as well! This move was very much worth it, as I have found my other half, am now married to him and just gave birth to a little girl on June 3rd 2008 =) .... meaning you'll have to excuse my inactivity on VT these days

I admit it, I have not been very active on VT lately! Mea culpa, but I have not stopped traveling, the move to Hanover has not helped, wihtout mentioning the wedding and the honeymoon, and even though I have loads of free time on my hands since I'm up here, I can't seem to find the time to sit at my computer and write about all my new trips. I need to do it but don't know when I will.... So many things to write about that I get lazy just thinking about it: Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Aman, Damascus, Petra, Aleppo, Palmyra, Aqaba, Mauritius, Menorca, Havana, Tuscany, Rome,and the list goes on and on! So send me message if you want info on any of these places in the meantime ;-)

Very nice pages, Vanessa. I have to say, though that after spending a few winters in cold country that I miss Miami and the tropics.
