Addictive Tokyo

by Belsaita - last update: Sep 15, 2008

We planed to stay in Tokyo for 5 nights. On our 3rd day, we asked the hotel if they had free rooms for 2 more nights. On our 6th days we asked for 2 nights more... and on the 9th day we left Tokyo feeling there was so much still to see, but we were willing to see other parts of Japan as well ;))
The highlights of our trip, in no particular order:
- visiting the Tsujiki central fish market.
- walking around Harajuku seeing the "Gothic Lolitas", and after having some good shopping
- the Edo museum (good to learn about Tokyo history)
- the views from the Tokyo tower at night
- Shibuya at night for a truly "Blade Runner moment"
- daytrips to Nikko and Kamakura
just to name a few...

So you have seen a quite bit of Tokyo. Edo museum is my favorite. Yes, life in big cities like Tokyo is hectic but you may find more slow and peaceful ways of life in small cities or villages. But in these places, people want be be precise and organized.
