| The 'Matthew' in full sail (Bristol City Council) |
Before I begin, I just want to say (Laura!) that I didn't take this photograph (how I wish I had!), it's a publicity shot from the city council and shows the reconstructed Matthew setting off for Newfoundland. And that's the famous suspension bridge, Bristol's symbol, in the background.
Bristol is an immensely easy city to like. I had some bad experiences there but I also left behind some wonderful friends and memories. |

mopsus Fri Feb 27, 2009 12:35 UTC I'm afraid Bristol Classical Discs shut soon after this review was written. (Actually I think it shut in 2002?) | TheLongTone Fri Feb 27, 2009 12:11 UTC Art Deco spaceship (Your tip on the Council House). Love it! | garridogal Thu Feb 22, 2007 11:59 UTC What is that floating through your topmost photo of Stanton Drew? Kinda eerie... | diocletianvs Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:35 UTC So, the name of the city is actually Bristo with an added L? It would be cool to land at the Cary Grant Airport. Great and very informative page. |
