Karlsruhe is my home town where I live since 2001.
If you have a bike, there are plenty of things to explore in the city and in its outskirts. Public transport, despite it is excellent, is not enough to see this city. So, there is a outside department of the zoo in a forest nearby, which can get only reached by bike (Oberwald). There are also plenty of small lakes. Officially it is forbidden to bath in them, but I think nobody obeys this law :-)
With the reach of the KVV (the public transport system) there are many beautiful cities: Ettlingen, Baden-Baden, Rastatt, Wissenbourg (France), Lauterbourg (France), etc. |
