Indianapolis is fun. There are a few dance bars there and the STAR TREK and STAR WARS conventions held there are always well worth your money. True Value, now TruServ thanks to some pretty dumb upper echilon decisions, used to have a warehouse here and being an active True Value member I was able to take a fun tour of this place. I learned quite a bit about the operations of a huge warehouse and even attended a warehouse meeting. Funny thing about this said meeting. The people who worked there in management status did not seem to have too good a grip on what or how the True Value members, the people who brought these people all of their money, wanted the warehouse run. The meeting I attended was a question and answer session and I took it upon myself of quizing these self appointed geniuses of their own self presumed intelligence. I was sadly disappointed and left the meeting knowing I could easily do a better job than they were doing. But, alas, all of this has nothing to do with Indianapolis! There is a Motel 6 on the western edge of Indy and one in the southeastern corner. Both are very nice and both are safe places to stay.
