Hi and welcome to my world of wishing I was there in the world of Space ... ... ... The Final Frontier. Who am I? A not too much longer single gentleman from the central Illinois area who has a fascination with the world of Sci-Fi; in particular STAR TREK, THE OUTER LIMITS, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and STAR WARS.
I have been all over the United States camping and believe without question the Manistee National Forest just south of Manistee, Michigan is the best place to safely explore the earthly out there with your honey. The shore line waters offer no sharks and the beach is very laid back and relaxing.
Going out of the country I have been to Canada, Germany and Russia. Russia was by far my best foreign trip as I got to meet my wife to be in person and had the best of best times in her and her family's company as I discovered two places I had never been - - - Russia and very deeply in love.
I love to go dancing and to enjoy the right atmosphere to do so, I journey my way up to the Chicago area. Awesome music. Awesome dance bars. There are also a few museums in Chicago well worth attending and I swear some time soon I am going to tour the Sears Tower while I am up there.
Straight across Lake Michigan from Chicago is a small city known as Saginaw in Michigan. Go there if you want to enjoy a some what crowded beach at Warren Dunes. There is so much to do there! And the music stations from Chicago carry across the lake to your radio as you bask in the sun on the beach!
In the world of sports, I am a self professed idiot. The Chicago Cubs in professional baseball and in college basketball the Bradley Braves. Nothing from nothing. I also cheer on the Bears and the Bulls, but, what with their having had their days in the lime light, my following their seasons is much more passive.
I love to write and after the release of STAR WARS - Episode 4: A NEW HOPE in 1977, I wrote my own sequel called STAR WARS - Episode 4 - Part 2: THERE MAY STILL BE PLACES. In it, I picked up where things left off in the first movie and essentially connected the storyline dots between it and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. I was only 13 and later 14 at the time, but still, I believe it is of a higher intellectual caliber than most books being released even today.
