The Le Meridien in Vienna is definitely one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Thankfully we managed to get a good deal on Expedia and went for it. It is funky and new and bright and classy.
There was a coffee shop on the groundfloor where we spent a lazy afternoon while it rained outside. There is also a bar and restaurant, which we didn't go to unfortunately.
Our room was very modern, with a flat screen tv and the works. The bathroom was really, really groovy as well. Our only gripe is that the double bed was really, really small... and in reality, so was the room as a whole. I actually went back downstairs to check with the reception staff whether we were given the wrong room as I swear the bed looked like a single room.
The location of this hotel is also quite good. It is near the Opera House, and while not right in the historic centre of the city, it is within walking distance to the main town area.
As we had our car with us, we used the hotel's car park. It costs quite a lot to park in Vienna, about €28 per day.
