A Quiet Escape for Individual, Family or Couple! We stayed at the Marriott Emerald Casino and Resort. Wow. What a beautiful establishment.
It is apparent that those taking care of the property are very proud of what they have accomplished. We had no issues and all requests were met efficiently and completely.
We spent the week diving and soaking up the sun. Carribean Sea Sports is the on site dive operator. Owner Tom Zack is an energetic exciting person and his staff is just as fun. They offer snorkeling, jet-ski rental, and resort diving. As well, there is a fishing boat you can book and a dive boat that makes daily trips to local sites. If you are interested, as we were, diving certification courses packages are offered - what better way to vacation?
The local shopping district is called Punda and is quite touristy - but there is a lot of local culture to absorb, so it is worth an afternoon to browse for souveniers.
There are so many delicious restaurants on the island. Service is prompt and the gourmet quality food (at the places we went to) is proudly served with style.
If you stay at the Marriott, it is worth it to stay in a beach front room , the sunsets and sunrises are amazing! |
