New York City Off The Beaten Path
Sort by: Most Recent | Best Rated | Author's Order

Off The Beaten Path: Grand Central Station/Terminal
  • Tip Rating:
  • Built in 1913, the terminal is a throughway for millions of commuters every week. If you're in the neighbourhood, why not go in and have a look at the crowded huge departure hall? It is worth a detour and there are quite some shops and restaurants inside.

Off The Beaten Path: New York Public Library
  • Tip Rating:
  • The building was constructed in the early 20th century and took over 9 years to finish. Nowadays there are millions of books to consult. The library also features different exhibitions, educational programmes, classes and library tours.
    The reading room is magnificent!

On the steps outside, lots of people are resting from a nearby shopping-trip.

Hi, Nice tips and photos about NYC. Next time, though, you need to cross the Hudson River and come to New Jersey. :) Cheers, Bill

Glad you survived the Bronx. It really is a nice area, next time check out the zoo and botanical gardens, you'll love them.
